Reducing the impact of aerosol painting

Trees remove carbon dioxide from the air and replace it with oxygen.

We acknowledge that the use of a spray can to create art can have an impact on the environment and that's why HYPED Edutainment is proud to have taken action by offsetting the impact of our professional workshops and mural programs by planting over 5000 native trees in Marne Valley.

It's not just a matter of doing something politically correct, it's actually an important issue to discuss and take action on. So whilst others out there keep talking about it at least at HYPED, we're doing our bit.

It's just another reason why HYPED is known as a leading edge service provider.

'it stARTS with me' Aerosol Art Workshops

'it stARTS with me'

'it stARTS with me is an innovative aerosol art program developed in conjunction with local high schools. The theme of the program is to seek and explore issues of respect for the participants' and their surroundings. It provides skills development, capacity building and opportunities for young people to participate in a program that has positive outcomes. The students gain a greater understanding of aerosol art as a legitimate art form, as opposed to the context of graffiti vandalism.

This successful Workshop & Exhibition program conducted by HYPED Edutainment for The City of Port Adelaide Enfield, with year 11 and 12 students from Enfield High School and Gepps Cross Girls High School produced some great art and challenged the notion that aerosol art is a negative activity. Many of the students had never used a spraycan as an art medium before and yet with the skilled and passionate tuition form HYPED they were able to deliver on their vision with quality art and big smiles being the end result.

Many of the pieces ended up being purchased at the Exhibition, which was a great result for all involved.
